 Singapore IMDA Certification


I. Scope of Certification



Telecommunications and radio communication equipment sold in Singapore for local use must be registered with IMDA.


Applicable Scope: All radio and telecommunications terminal products


Examples: Terrestrial mobile radio equipment; mobile/IoT base stations; wireless broadband access equipment; Internet of Things (IoT) devices; dedicated short-range equipment;


Ultra-wideband (UWB) equipment; SRD equipment*


II. Certification Cycle:


There are five product registration types based on product category. The first four are valid for five years and renewable, while voluntary certification is valid indefinitely.


1. ESER Self-Declaration Registration


Short-range/Low-power devices (SRD/LPD), such as alarms, RFID, radio detection, field paging and vehicle radar systems, remote controls, telemetry, wireless microphones and video transmitters, wireless LAN and Bluetooth; DECT cordless phones, portable mobile radios (PMR446) and multi-channel portable radios (MCR446), power below 500 mW


DVB-T2 integrated receiver/decoder (such as DVB-T2 set-top boxes, integrated digital TVs, vehicle receivers)


Complex multi-line devices (such as PABX, KTS, ISDN, PABX, PSTN, PLC)


2. SER - Self-Declaration Registration


Mobile terminal equipment/broadband access equipment


3. GER - Evaluation Registration** (commonly used)


GER For Mobile/IoT Base Station/Repeater Systems


Land Mobile Radios/Walkie-Talkies


TV Blank Band Equipment


UWB


DSRC


IoT User Equipment


Short Range Equipment (SRD)*


4. GER-CB Assessment Registration


Equipment owned by a CB applicant who has obtained MRA Phase II accreditation.


5. COFC - Voluntary Registration


Applicable to telecommunications equipment that does not require approval for sale (equipment exempt from registration), such as fax transceivers, etc.


The process takes approximately 1-2 weeks:


Preparing application materials: 1-2 days


Online application submission (review): 3-5 days


Paying application fees: 1 day


Official certificate issuance: 2-3 days

Complies with IMDA Standards:


【DAXXXXXX】 (This code is the importer's (local company's) telecommunications supplier license code)


Size: 17mm*9mm (Fixed size, no scaling allowed)


Location: Product itself, instruction manual, or packaging (preferred products)


Setting Method: Physical/Electronic Tagging (If E-Labeling is used, the display method of the electronic tag must be indicated in the user manual accompanying the product)


V. Requirements for Certificate Holder:


Singapore local importer (If the customer currently does not have an actual importer, a proxy can hold the certificate)
