Singapore PSB Certification

 Singapore PSB Certification

Certification Introduction:

The Singapore Consumer Product Protection Act 1991 designates the Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Commission (PSB) as the product safety authority, responsible for licensing and registering products covered by the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Scheme (CPS). Only registered products bearing the SAFETY mark can be sold in Singapore. All entities responsible for selling regulated goods to consumers in Singapore must register each model with the safety authority. Registration requires certificates and test reports confirming compliance with mandatory product safety labeling. Currently, Singapore only requires safety; EMC is voluntary.

Safety Requirements: Under IEC standards, products must also meet tropical condition testing requirements. Singapore certification must be provided by a local agent, and the certificate holder must also be a local agent. Products can only be sold in Singapore after obtaining PSB certification.
