Certification Introduction:


The NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) is a typical government regulatory body with administrative penalty powers, similar to my country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is also the competen


t authority for telecommunications products and networks. From July 1, 2008, the mandatory regulations previously applicable to mobile communication products were expanded to include wireless-related products. Generally, mobile phones and other wireless products exported to Thailand need to obtain NBTC certification before they can be sold in the local market.

Thailand NBTC Certification Product Classification:


Telecommunications equipment sold in Thailand is regulated by the NTC in three groups:


• Class A: Registration


• Class B: Approval Certification


• SDoC: Supplier's Declaration of Conformity


• Class A Approval: Products must be tested in an NTC-designated laboratory and provide the data required by NTC to obtain a registration number and certification certificate.


• Class B Approval: The certification procedure is the same as for Class A products, but foreign reports such as FCC, CE, CB, etc., can be used for a conversion certification application. A registration number and certification certificate are also required.


• SDoC (Supplier's Declaration of Conformity) Mode: This part of the product certification is voluntary. The customer's local representative in Thailand must complete the SDoC form and submit it along with technical documents to NTC for verification.


Applicable Product Scope:


Thailand NBTC certification covers the following specific products: RF/telecommunications, mobile, telephone, equipment terminals, or telecommunications-related products.

EN IEC 62680-1-3/62680-1-2 EU Electronics Standards

To reduce e-waste, the EU is committed to promoting a unified charging technology and interface that supports a variety of electronic products. On November 23, 2022, the EU issued Directive EN IEC 62680-1-3/62680-1-2, requiring electronic product manufacturers to use USB-C charging interface technology in their products.
