TISI Certification in Thailand

 TISI Certification in Thailand

Certification Introduction:

TISI is short for the Thai Industrial Standards Institute. TISI is a department under the Thai Ministry of Industry, responsible for developing standards to meet domestic and international needs, monitoring product quality, and conducting conformity assessment procedures to ensure compliance with standards and accreditation. TISI is the government authority for mandatory certification in Thailand, as well as a standards development and management body, a certification body, and a laboratory accreditation, personnel training, and registration body. It is important to note that Thailand does not have any non-governmental mandatory certification bodies.

Thailand implements a TISI certification system that combines mandatory and voluntary certification. Products that meet the standards are allowed to use the TISI mark. For products for which standards have not yet been developed, TISI also provides product registration as a temporary certification method.

The Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) develops standards to meet the needs and development of national industry, businesses, the economy, government, and society, as well as government policy support, consumer protection, and environmental and natural resource protection. TISI offers product certification programs, including two certification marks: a voluntary certification mark and a mandatory certification mark.
