Vietnam MIC Certification

 Vietnam MIC Certification

Certification Introduction:

In early 2016, Vietnam's MIC department announced that, starting October 1, 2016, all lithium batteries, including those sold independently and those used in finished products (laptops, tablets, mobile phones, etc.), would require a DOC certificate (Standard No.: QCVN 101:2006/BTTTT). The DOC certificate for these products is required when applying for Vietnam MIC certification.

BACL has signed a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) with Vietnam MIC, allowing for direct certificate conversion of test reports. We provide MIC certification services for wireless communication products, helping companies successfully enter the Vietnamese market!

Basic Certification Information:

• Mandatory: Yes

• Regulated Products: Wireless communication products

• Factory Inspection: None

• Certificate Validity: 2 years

• Local Distributor: Required

The following is a notice from the Vietnam MIC postponing the implementation of mandatory certification for battery products:

The Ministry of Information and Communications of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (MIC) has implemented mandatory TCVN/TCN standards for electromagnetic interference (EMI) and communication products in the information product category. For EMI certification, local suppliers can submit self-declaration applications, which, upon approval by the MIC, allow the products to be sold in the Vietnamese market.

The IEC testing standards corresponding to Vietnam's battery certification regulation QCVN 101:2016/BTTTT are IEC 61960 (2011) and IEC 62133 (2012). [Note: Both standards must be met to satisfy the QCVN standard.]
