DOE Energy Efficiency Testing
DOE Energy Efficiency Testing
Project Introduction
DOE energy efficiency testing, officially known as the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) energy efficiency testing, is a procedure for assessing and certifying the energy efficiency of specific electrical and electronic products sold in the U.S. market. DOE testing aims to ensure that these products comply with U.S. federal regulations regarding energy efficiency, primarily 10 CFR Part 429 and 10 CFR Part 430, thereby promoting energy conservation and emission reduction, protecting the environment, and helping consumers reduce energy costs.
Service Scope
Our DOE energy efficiency testing service covers the entire country, with testing capabilities encompassing:
Household appliances (such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, etc.)
Lighting products (such as LED lights, fluorescent lamps, etc.)
External power supplies (chargers, adapters)
Battery chargers (including chargers for small electronic devices such as Bluetooth headsets, mobile phones, and tablets)
Computers and their peripherals
Ceiling fans and other household appliances

Testing Items
Energy Efficiency: Directly measures the product's energy consumption to assess its efficiency.
Life Cycle Assessment (LCA): Considers the product's environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle, from production to disposal.
Energy Efficiency Labelling and Marking: Verifies that the product's energy efficiency label is accurate and complies with the U.S. standardized labeling system.
Performance Testing: Verifies that the product's energy efficiency performance in real-world operation meets the prescribed performance standards.
Specific Product Requirements: Different product categories may have specific testing requirements, such as luminous efficacy of lighting fixtures and standby power consumption of electrical appliances.
