Matters to be Complied with When Applying to the NCC
Applicants must comply with the following regulations. All responsibility for any violations will rest with the applicant.
1. Comply with the provisions of the Telecommunications Act and related verification regulations.
2. Provide necessary assistance at any time for any issues arising during the application process.
3. For products that have been issued approval certificates/type certifications, the verification conformity mark must be affixed or printed as required before they can be sold.
4. The use of approval certificates/type certifications must not damage the image of the verification body, and no statements regarding product verification that the verification body deems misleading or unauthorized must be made.
5. Product approval certificates/type certifications may only be used to demonstrate that the verified product complies with the relevant technical specifications.
6. Ensure that issued product approval certificates/type certifications and verification conformity marks are not misused.
7. When citing product verification status in media such as documents, promotional materials, or advertisements, compliance with the verification body's requirements is required.
8. For products that have passed verification:
(a) Maintain a record of all known complaints regarding the product's compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, and make these records available to the verification body if necessary.
(b) Take appropriate action on any deficiencies or complaints found that may affect the product's compliance with verification requirements, and document the actions taken.
9. Copies of documents provided in the application for verification of telecommunications-regulated radio frequency equipment must be consistent with the originals; technical information must be consistent with the actual situation, and there must be no falsification. The applicant shall bear all responsibility for any inaccuracies.
10. In accordance with Article 8 of the Regulations Governing the Verification of Telecommunications-Regulated Radio Frequency Equipment and Article 10 of the Regulations Governing the Verification of Telecommunications Terminal Equipment, the verification body may, when necessary, request the applicant to submit samples of the equipment/devices.
Application Submission for Verification
Applicants may submit verification applications for telecommunications-regulated radio frequency equipment to this Verification Center by mail, courier, or in person.
Verification Application
1. Applicants should complete the Application Form for Verification and Certification of Telecommunications-Regulated Radio Frequency Equipment for Sale or the Application Form for Verification of Telecommunications Terminal Equipment for Sale, and submit it to this Verification Center along with the materials required by the Technical Specifications for Low-Power Radio Frequency Motors and the Regulations for Verification and Certification of Telecommunications-Regulated Radio Frequency Equipment.
2. If the applicant is a foreign manufacturer, a separate power of attorney (in a format determined by the applicant) should be completed, authorizing an agent with a registered address in Taiwan to submit the verification application to this Verification Center in accordance with the requirements for verification applications.
3. Telecommunications terminal equipment and telecommunications-regulated radio frequency equipment of different brands or models should be applied for verification separately.
4. If the brand name of the equipment to be verified differs from the name of the applicant or manufacturer, the applicant should provide an authorization letter for the use of that brand name.
Type Approval Certificate Replacement/Renewal Application
If the type approval certificate applied for by this Verification Center is lost or damaged, the applicant should complete the "Application Form for Replacement/Renewal of Low-Power RF Motor/Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Verification and Certification" and attach a self-declaration of warranty (format to be determined by the applicant), and submit the application to this Verification Center.
Application for Series Products
Applicants for series products must also provide documentation explaining the differences between the product and the originally approved model, as well as a copy of the type approval certificate for the original approved product. The following points should be noted:
1. Series products for telecommunications-regulated RF equipment refer to those that only change the antenna, appearance, auxiliary non-RF functions, power supply method, or brand/model of the originally approved telecommunications-regulated RF equipment, while the output power, modulation technology, operating frequency, number of channels, and the circuit board layout of the main components, and other technical specifications and RF performance remain unchanged.
2. "Series of telecommunications terminal equipment" refers to other products that do not alter the output power, modulation technology, operating frequency, number of channels, and circuit board layout of major components of the approved telecommunications terminal equipment, and whose basic design, performance, physical shape, and materials are identical to those of the approved telecommunications terminal equipment.
3. The application fee for a series of products is halved, and the application must be submitted by the original applicant.
