Testing Introduction

The energy consumption performance of electronic and electrical products is receiving increasing attention from ordinary consumers, and there are certification requirements for energy consumption of electronic and electrical products around the world. TCA has recently launched MEPS certification for the Australian market. The Australian government's energy requirements include energy labels and Minimum Energy Standards (MEPS).

In terms of MEPS registration, compared to the past, applicants are no longer able to choose any state to register on the Australian official website. Instead, they are required to register under the Australian Regulator. At the same time, in all states and jurisdictions of Australia, GEMS regulations no longer set a single registration fee for all product types. Product types will be divided into four categories, with registration fees ranging from AUD 440 to AUD 780 and a registration period of 5 years.

Testing Standard

The following products also need to be regulated based on the Minimum Energy Standards (MEPS) - that is, their minimum energy consumption levels are specified: * Refrigerators and ice makers (implemented from October 1, 1999, revised on January 1, 2005)
